Fight With Monster — A Free Browser Brawler That Gets Brutal Fast

Each level dumps you into an arena with a wave of monsters. You click to swing your weapon, and everything dies in a few hits early on. A full clear takes maybe two or three minutes per wave at the start, stretching to five or six minutes once the tougher enemies show up. Between rounds there's a brief pause where you pick from random skill upgrades like extra damage or faster movement. The first few levels are basically a warmup. I got cocky around level four and stopped dodging, which immediately cost me a life because some spike-armored jerk charged in from offscreen. Boss fights show up every five levels and they're a noticeable step up. Died twice on the level ten boss before figuring out the attack pattern. The game doesn't explain much, so half the battle is learning what each new monster actually does before it wrecks you.

Whole game runs on mouse. Left click to attack, hover to aim, and there's a hotbar at the bottom for special abilities you unlock later. Took me a solid ten minutes to realize you could hold the attack button down for rapid strikes instead of spam-clicking like a maniac. Would've saved my wrist during the first boss.

Compared to other free browser brawlers, Fight With Monster actually respects your time. No energy systems, no paywalls, no thirty-second ads between every round. The combat has real weight to it, and the skill choices between waves add just enough strategy to keep things from getting stale. Falls short on variety since arenas all look pretty similar and the music loops get old fast.
