What is Bounce Heroes?

Bounce Heroes tries to do a lot at once. Your little crossbow-wielding hero automatically fights waves of monsters while you focus on a Peggle-style drop puzzle above the battlefield. You drop the bouncy balls fallen enemies leave behind, breaking through layers of blocks to dig up treasure, and then you pick one of three random cards to upgrade your stats. It's a idle RPG mixed with a physics puzzle, and it mostly works. Anyone who likes watching numbers go up while still having something to do with their hands will probably enjoy this. If you strictly want active combat or get bored by idle games, the auto-battle setup might drive you crazy. The blend is pretty unique, but there are definitely moments where the idle part feels like it's playing itself while you just watch.

How to Play Bounce Heroes

A standard run takes about 10 to 15 minutes. Your hero shoots at incoming waves automatically, and you mostly manage the merge puzzle board. You grab bouncy balls from your inventory, drop them from the top of the screen, and watch them bounce off pegs to hit buried treasure at the bottom. Every wave or two you get to pick from three upgrade cards, which keeps things moving. The first few rounds are kinda slow since your base damage is so low, and I definitely hit a nasty wall around wave 12 because I ignored my health upgrades. Don't be like me. Keep an eye on your hero's health bar, otherwise you'll do what I did and sit there confused for a good five minutes wondering why I suddenly died.
