Fruit Merger Review: Juicy Puzzle Fun or Boring Drops?

A typical session takes maybe 10-15 minutes before you either hit a new high score or rage-quit. You drop fruits from the top, watch them tumble, and pray two of the same kind land next to each other. When they merge, you get bigger fruit and more points. Sounds simple, and it is - until the board fills up and you realize you've been making terrible placement choices for the last 3 minutes. My first few rounds I dropped everything in the center like an idiot, which clogs the board fast. The game doesn't really explain that you want to spread fruits along the edges to keep things flowing. You'll figure it out, or you'll restart a lot like I did. The pace picks up once you start chaining merges together.

This one's a pure mouse game. You click and tap to drop fruits into the board - that's literally it. No keyboard shortcuts to memorize, no weird button combos. Took me a minute to figure out the drop physics on mobile vs desktop, honestly the click feels way more precise on a mouse. Once you get the aim down it's pretty smooth sailing.

Compared to Suika-style games, Fruit Merger keeps things stripped down - no cute mascots, no extra power-ups cluttering the screen. It's a solid pick if you want pure merge mechanics without all the fluff. The downside is it can feel a bit basic after an hour, and there's no real progression system beyond chasing a higher number. Pick this over heavier puzzle games when you want something you can play half-asleep.
