What is BoxBash?
You play as a wrestler standing in front of a stack of sand-boxes. The whole point is to punch them to bump up your score, but here's the catch: one of the boxes in the stack has a firecracker in it. If you're standing on that side when it goes off, you're done. So you're constantly shifting sides, punching whatever's safe, and trying to keep the combo going as long as possible. It's clearly aimed at the hypercasual crowd — short rounds, easy to pick up, hard to put down. If you like the boxing tag and don't mind doing basically the same thing on repeat, you'll get some mileage out of it. If you're after depth or variety, you'll bounce off it pretty quick.
Honestly I spent about 20 minutes on this one before I figured out the controls — but once it clicks, it clicks. If you end up liking BoxBash, there's more where that came from. How to Play BoxBash
A typical run lasts maybe 60-90 seconds if you're playing it safe, longer if you get into a good groove. You start smacking boxes, score ticks up, and the stack gets smaller. The firecracker switches sides randomly, so you always gotta be checking which one is hot. I lost my first three runs because I just stayed on one side farming points — turns out the firecracker moves to you if you're too greedy. Once you get the hang of the pattern, it becomes this weird timing thing. Punch, check, switch, punch, check. I hit a wall around my 12th run where the firecracker started appearing way more often. No idea if it's random or if there's some trigger, but it definitely felt like the game was pushing me off the safe side.

Controls are about as simple as it gets. You punch boxes on one side of the stack and move to dodge the firecracker side. Took me maybe two runs to get the rhythm down — pretty much just keep clicking or tapping fast and don't get caught on the wrong side when the firecracker shows up.
